Event: The Vanish Pink Drive

It was all PINK errthin' in Melrose Arch during The Vanish Pink Drive aimed at Breast Cancer Awareness, which saw over 200 women being tested for free for Breast Cancer.

A worthy cause that attracted the likes of Unathi Msengana, Zama Ngcobo, 5Fm's Poppy Ntshongwana and Top Billing's Lorna Maseko, proved to be a great success as it resulted in our celebrities testing for Breast Cancer for the first time.

Msengana who was the MC for the day told us that she had done a lot of work on Cancer and after losing a close friend to Stomach Cancer, she realised the need to do even more.

She and the other ladies expressed their love for Swaziland adding that they would love to visit any time. Msengana said it reminds her so much of her home province, the Eastern Cape. She said though she hadn't been to Swaziland in a while, she'd definitely visit when invited - so, all you event planners and promoters, we want her please! Well, Lorna happens to be married to Swazi so for her SD is her second home *smiles*.

The Pink Drive Category Manager, Vana Knoepfel (above) said this event was to kick-off the campaign and urged women to keep it locked to http://www.pinkdrive.co.za/ to see the Pink Drive trucks schedule within  Johannesburg and Cape Town where Breast Cancer testing will continue being offered for free.

THE DECOR

Love the way they hung all our photos on the line for display *CLEVER*

By the time I was done, I was HIGH on sugar - the cupcakes, the candy, the biscuits oooh! All a girl wants

While we waited our turn to get tested in the queue, we grabbed any of these girly mags to peruse

I must admit that I also had my debut Breast Cancer test at this venue and the nurses were so friendly and attentive even though I was no. 177 to be tested (I think) and they hadn't had a break all day.

Thanks Vanish for such an awesome day!
