Zoom In: Hlengwa of Blaqhead Design Studio

One word that best describes Hlengwa Manzini would be "Artist". This dude is highly creative but what else can one expect from a Vega Brand Communications graduate.
Born in Manzini Swaziland, his desire to soar led to the birth of Blaqhead Design Studio (BDS) based in Joburg but he still helps mange Empandze Lodge in Swaziland as a co-owner.

Blaqhead Design Studio is a creative house fueled by strategic thinking focusing all different aspects of design and art - Graphic, Fashion, Event Concept creation, multimedia and photography.
With so much going on for him in Joburg, plans are underway to open base in SD  so watch this space for the launch of HeadBlaq Creative (coming soon).
"We have a passion for discovery, a commitment to business success and the expertise to make it happen", he explains.

ENTER THE BLAQHEAD WORLD

A dose of what this hand can do on the Mac

As if that was not enough, Bremmer as some of his friends call him says his company is also in the process of setting up a charity organization for disabled children that will enable them to showcase their artistic talents, which would otherwise be overlooked by society.

"We're determined to provide them with effective mentoring and equip them with the tools to take the world on."

THE BDS T-SHIRTS *I've stopped nagging for one*

Asked about these absolutely gorgeous BDS T-shirts, Hlengwa says they are currently purely for marketing purposes. They are a limited edition and are not for sale, yet *sad*. He said they are often distributed at the high profile events that BDS works on. *whatever!*

Judging from the BDS client base, there's no doubt that these T-shirts have reached the right hands. The ANC, SAB Miller, SABC, TopGospel (TopTv), Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) SWAGAA, NMCP & NERCHA are just a few of BDS' prestigious list of clients.

However, don't despair because Hlengwa promises us a retail Blaqhead range with a focus on urban youth culture combined with an unmistakable African heritage by the start of 2012 - I'll personally hold him to this one.
