Feature: Exit Jay-D, Enter Mooz!

Although unknown in his current guise, Mooz has been in the business for over a decade having come to prominence with 90s Swazi Hip Hop phenomenon Vamoose and later releasing a solo EP entitled "Battlescarz" under the pseudonym "Jay-D".

Mooz is currently in the process of starting up a label called Urban Afrikan Productions through which he will release his and in future other artists' music. Urban Afrikan Productions started as a one man band with rapper/singer/songwriter/producer Mooz making rock music in a home studio in Mbabane Swaziland.

Since then he has been in and out of the public eye most recently surfacing with an experimental rock influenced album titled Urban Afrikan. The title of this album also serves as the name of the production/record company that Mooz runs from which he continues to dabble in the world of independent digital distribution. 2012 sees Mooz return with a series of singles culminating in the release of the full length album to be entitled "Worldwide International".

Mooz recently released a new single "For The Love Of Music" which is available online through CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon MP3 and other online retail outlets internationally.

Muzi was born in Swaziland and moved to the North West Province in Mafikeng. He attended school but later moved to Johannesburg to complete his Matric. He then moved back to Swaziland where he started working with Vamoose. As an avid rock music lover Mooz discovered rap and dance music later on and hence his songwriting and arrangements tend to lean towards or have slight musical references to the rock music genre but the tracks he makes currently are strongly influenced by the urban music genres of rap, R n' B and dance.
