From Sugababe Amelle Berrabah to Sophie Ellis Bextor, Playboy bunny Hope Dworaczyk to Hollywood luminary Jane Seymour, Butterfly Twist girls stand out from the crowd by wearing the coolest British footwear. And from July 1 the local fashion set can give their feet a break by twisting their toes into this stylish yet comfortable trend as the very first Butterfly Twists pop up shop arrives at Morningside Shopping Centre, Johannesburg.
Launched in London in 2009 by four close friends, Butterfly Twists have quickly redefined style, comfort and fashion. The hallmark of the British brand is the fact that each design boasts an innovative twist allowing the footwear to be folded and thus easily transported in your handbag or carry-all.

Kicking off its debut with a range of ballerina flats which were foldable, flexible and fabulous, Butterfly Twists now come in a range of permutations from the sultry Eve (a snakeskin flat in four eye-popping shades) to the ladylike Olivia and the racy Elizabeth line, which features 1980s inspired studs.
And in a nod to the new festival crowd of Kate Moss and her ilk who have added style to the mosh pits of Glastonbury, the new Butterfly Twists slouchy boots made from soft, plush-micro suede are not only easily foldable but set to become a trans-seasonal wardrobe stable moving from winter to spring and back again.
The Butterfly Twists pop-up store will be located at the Morningside ShoppingCentre from July 1.
