Congratulations to these two Lusoti High School students for putting Swaziland on the map. Sakhiwo Shongwe and Bonkhe Mahlalela, both 14 recently won Scientific American's inaugural Science in Action award by coming up with a plan to use hydroponics to provide food for our tiny country.
Good Luck to the little ones *one tear*Over and above the +- R400 000 prize money, in July, these finalists will be going to Google headquarters in Mountain View, California to present their projects to an international panel of finalist judges and compete for prizes that include $100,000 in scholarship funds, a trip to the Galapagos Islands and more. The winners will be announced at Google celebration gala beginning at 7:00 p.m. PDT July 23.
