This weekend kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday May 28) with the stunning
Lindo's birthday party, which promises to be the place to be. Known as the face of
Sgonian Republik (SR) & a committee member of the prestigious Mr Swaziland contest, Lindo will certainly draw the right crowd. With the likes of the legendary Ntombz, Master P and Mbo on the ones & twos, among other great DJs, you will also be treated to a live performance by the oh so fabulous
Tiyas and the fiercely talented
Siyinqaba. Don't stick out like a sore thumb you, the theme colour is
RED.
To say this is the busiest weekend in Swaziland would be an understatement. The
Bushfire Festival is one of the most popular events in the country, after Umhlanga of course. Hosted just once a year, the Bushfire Festival is back this weekend and the performance lineup is to die for. If you haven't yet secured your tickets, you got games chief!
If you're a Hip Hop head, then the
Hip Hop Mayhem at the Gallery is where we should find you. Pull out your Jays & Timbs and enjoy the sounds of an array of DJs.
For those of you who will be in Joburg, Swazi DJs will shut down Shaguma Garden Cafe in Midrand on Friday with your favourite Soul Sounds in an event dubbed Soul Oasis. So, get there from 8pm and dance the night away. Did I mention the fact that it's FREE?
It's certainly going to be a great weekend and you have no excuse not to enjoy it. After all, it is month end *wink*.
