MTN Bushfire 2015 & The Firefest route


Swaziland’s highly acclaimed three-day music and arts festival, MTN BUSHFIRE will take place May 29th – 31st 2015 as part of the unique southern-African festival tour the FIREFEST ROUTE.

Pioneered by MTN BUSHFIRE, the FIREFEST route is a Southern African tour circuit, taking place during May and June each year. The selected group of festivals all share a common creative aesthetic and vision for arts development in the region.

The FIREFEST ROUTE includes the Harare International Festival of the Arts/ HIFA, April 28th – May 3rd, (www.hifa.co.zw) AZGO in Maputo Mozambique, May 22-23, (www.azgofestival.com) Fireball May 29th in Cape Town South Africa, The Bassline Africa Day Concert May 23, Johannesburg South Africa, (www.bassline.co.za) MTN Bushfire  May 29 – June 1 Swaziland,(www.bush-fire.com)  and Safiko Musik in Reunion Island June 5 -7 (www.safiko.com)

This year fans can enjoy discounted ticket bundles – enabling music lovers to visit both Swaziland’s MTN Bushfire and Maputo’s AZGO festival to enjoy a diverse programme of music and arts culture across Southern African regions. 

AZGO festival will include some artists in common with MTN BUSHFIRE, including Turkey’s 123, Austrian duo Sweet Sweet Moon and Australia’s Black Jesus Experience. All of the artists confirmed for the various festivals reflect this wealth of talent and diversity from across the region and the international arena.

MTN BUSHFIRE Transport & Camping Experiences: All Out Africa

MTN BUSHFIRE Harambee Hotel
Harambee Hotel is a unique and luxurious camping experience aimed at catering for music festivals and events in and around Africa. The concept blends the romance and thrill of glamorous camping with none of the hassle of having to do it yourself. Luxury A-Frame tents are fitted with a double bed, bedside table, lamp and a charging point for electronic equipment. TRAVEL TIPS
Border crossing: All of Swaziland’s border posts are open seven days a week. Check here for border post hours of operationhttp://www.thekingdomofswaziland.com/pages/content/index.asp?PageID=22

If you are using the Oshoek border post it is highly recommended to plan to leave Thursday or early Friday as the border post has seen extremely long queues Friday afternoon and evening in previous years.

Immigration: You will need a valid passport to enter Swaziland. You may also require an entry visa. Please check with your Embassy or the Swaziland Tourism Authority website for visa requirements.
