Swazi Jive is pleased to
announce exciting new competitions to the Hipnotik 2016 Festival which will be
held on July 9, 2016 at El Paradiso (Grey Hound). These new competitions
include the beat competition battle, the dance battle competition and a rap
battle which will offer a sum of E30 000 in cash prizes.

battle competition
This year, local and
international producers can participate in our beat battle competition joining Africa’s
top hip hop producers like Beats By Tweezy (South Africa), Lo, Soundz
(Swaziland), Bang!GAE (Botswana), and more in a beat competition hosted by the Hipnotik Festival. Fans will
vote for the best beat each week on Twitter (@Hipnotik2016/ @Swazijive). The
winner will be crowned during this year’s Hipnotik Festival as the
#Hipnotik2016 beat battle King/Queen. Interested individuals can submit their
beat on www.dobroaudio.com/hipnotik
and stand a chance to win E10 000 in cash.
Dance
Battle Competition
Swazi Jive is also calling upon
all dance crews to show off their dance move and battle it out during this
year’s Hipnotik Festival. Festival gates open at 2pm and he dance battle starts
right after the rap battle. The winner will be crowned as the #Hipnotik2016
Dance Battle Kings/Queens. To enter the competition each crew member must have
a ticket to the festival and the group stands a chance to win E10 000.
Rap
Battle Competition
An exciting new addition to
this year’s festival is the Hipnotik Rap Battle. We are calling upon all battle
rappers to go head to head during this year’s Hipnotik Festival. The festival
gates will open at 2pm and the rap battle and freestyle competition starts
immediately. The winner will be crowned as the #Hipnotik2016 Rap Battle
King/Queen. To enter the competition, interested participants must be holders
of the festival ticket and stand a chance to win E10 000.
N/B: The first names on the
Hipnotik 2016 line up will be released this week.
